Wright reminiscences, 1841-1911.

Reminiscences of Harriet S. Pfouts Wright including handwritten memoirs with a few photographs and newspaper clippings and a typescript copy. The manuscript includes genealogy of the Wright, McPhee and Pfouts families as well as Harriet's recollections of details of fashion, funerals, social life and customs, and her adventures on the frontier. She also describes Washington, D.C. social activities just prior to the civil war including Lincoln's inauguration which she attended with her brother-in-law, James Craig.

Harriet Wright spent her early years in Ohio and Missouri; she married Charles Weston Wright in 1868 and followed him to Colorado, Wyoming and Montana.
